I have a question, id really appreciate your help.
The thing is my mom and dad were both hindu, My mum introduced Islam to my father, they changed their faith and practiced Islam even before getting hitched. me and my brother have been given Islam as our birth religion(I am so grateful)
Unfortunately it was not legal.. and life went such that we had hindu names for quite a while due to a property dispute that got dragged for 15 yrs. Up until say 5 yrs ago, we decided to adopt Muslim names. And i picked Aylin mainly coz it started with A, since my prev was too, and coz i really felt like it was mine . And my brother gave me that name. We checked online its origin is Turkish but now apparently there are other countries even Americans using it.
Now my problem during legalization process ....All my family members have chosen Arabic names to adopt but in my case the people at the board who do this process say i cannot have a name like this. And Syed cannot be the surname of a girl. I would really be indebted if you helped me with this. If could help me with a last name. I have grown up for five yrs of my life with a name feeling like Aylin.
I have been with a certain gentleman for the last 4 yrs. I intend to be married nxt yr(Insha Allah) I am very blessed to have the faith, the family and the partner i have. This is my blog,, http://aylin-brio.blogspot.com/.

And (Masha-Allah) i feel like with each passing day of my life i am able to understand Islam and my purpose of existing better.
